Q: What is a "ready-to-cook" meal?
A: A ready-to-cook meal consists of packages of ingredients all chopped up and prepared, in exactly the right proportions, all in a cooler delivered to your door. All you have to do to prepare a ready-to-cook meal before eating is follow the instructions and do the actual cooking. Home cooking has never been this easy.

Q: Are you a prepared meal delivery service?
A: Yes, we offer a prepared meal delivery service. However our meals come in different states of preparedness. Some you simply place in the oven and bake while others you stir fry up and do a little cooking. There's something for everyone.

Q: Do I have to sign up for a regular delivery program
A: Most certainly not. Order for any day of the week (Monday through Friday). We deliver fresh meals each and everyday, with no minimum commitments.

Ordering
Q: How much in advance do I have to order?
A: You must order 1 day in advance and up to two weeks in advance. So if you want a meal for Monday, you have order by Sunday night. This is because we don't hold inventory for very long, as we rely on the freshest ingredients we can get.

Q: I don't have a PayPal account. Can I still order?
A: Yes! PayPal processes credit cards directly, so you don't need a PayPal account to pay through their website. (However, having a PayPal account makes the check out process much faster.) By using PayPal to do our payment transactions, we ensure that your private credit card information is in the hands of a well-known and widely trusted brand. Oy Chef will NOT have your credit card information, as your payment goes directly to PayPal, who tells us after you've paid.

Q: How do I cancel or change my order?
A: You can cancel one part or your entire order by emailing us at info@OyChef.com just include your user name (i.e. the email address you signed up with), your order number, and the items you wish to cancel or change. We will credit or charge your account accordingly. Please note, we need 24 hours notice for cancellations and changes as we buy all our ingredients fresh and made to order.

Q: Do you have a print or fax version of your menu?
A: Yes, we have a print version. You can Download it from our home page, Please email us at info@OyChef.com or phone us at 647-930-9700 to request a print version.

Q: How do I know my order has gone through?
A: Login to your account at www.OyChef.com If your order appears in the history, it's been paid for, if it does not appear in the history, it has not been paid for. If it's not there and you believe it should be, please call us at 647-930-9700 or email us a info@OyChef.com and we'll help you place and pay for your order!

Q: Where do you deliver to?
A: From Monday to Friday, we deliver to homes in the Richmond Hill, Markham and Thorn Hill with no delivery charge! We deliver to other locations there will be a delivery charge – please refer to our delivery charge chart. To see a map of our delivery areas please click here

Q: Do I have to be home to receive the delivery?
A: Yes. All of our ready-to-cook meals are delivered in a food-safe cooler. As long as you can refrigerate the food by midnight thv e day the food was delivered, you're fine. We set up a convenient time for you to accept the delivery.

Q: I live in a condo/apartment/secure building. Can you deliver to me?
A: As long as we can get consistent access, whether through a building manager or otherwise, we can deliver to your apartment. Please email or call (647-930-9700) our customer service representative and we will work with you to try and figure out a delivery solution that works for you.

Q: What day is my delivery on?
A: Your delivery occurs on then the day that you have selected.
And since our ingredients are fresh, you can actually keep meals in your fridge for a few days. Thus, you can get several meals delivered at once to save on delivery costs. However, we do recommend that fish, and salads be prepared within one day of delivery for optimal taste and freshness.

Q: Can I pick up my meals from OyChef?
A: Sure! If you pick up, we'll also give you back your delivery fee.

Q: Who prepares your meals?
A: We do, in house. With our chef leading our trained staff, we prep each meal ourselves on the day they're being delivered. It doesn't get any fresher than that!

Q: Are the meals ready to eat?
A: Yes. The food comes in a cooked state all you have to do is heat and served.

Q: Are the meals frozen?
Absolutely not! We prepare your meals the day we deliver them. Freshness is our guarantee.

Q: If I have specific food allergies...?
A: Please look at the ingredients in a meal, when selecting meals from the menu and make sure that there are no ingredients that will cause you an allergic reaction. Please note that the ingredients list only contains ingredients for the entree. Please check the sides that come with the meal to see the ingredients they contain. Even though we do sanitize our work areas between processing different food items, there is always a potential for cross contamination. If you have serious allergies, we can't guarantee that our meals don't contain traces of peanuts or other allergens.

Q: How are your meals prepared?
A: Our meals are prepared in our commercial kitchen facility in accordance with Food Safe guidelines as regulated by the Ontario health ministry.

Q: How healthy are your meals?
A: As healthy as we can make them while still having them tasty. We consulted with a nutritionist and a nutritional program to find out the nutritional information for each and every meal. We tailored the recipes so that they will be part of a healthy, balanced diet. All nutritional information for each recipe can be found by clicking on the details button when browsing the meals available for ordering.
